Touching the Asteroid
Saturday, February 27 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
On Oct. 20, 2020, the NASA spacecraft named OSIRIS-REx traveled some 207 million miles to reach out and grab a piece of an asteroid named Bennu and bring it back to Earth. The spacecraft successfully descended to a spot the size of two parking spaces and touched down for five seconds while extending its specialized arm to collect material from the surface of Bennu.
